MEM#1 Member Groups

  1. Member Groups is a way that you can create groups of people with similarities within your membership. You can then produce a report with the names of all members of each group.
We will address that report when we look at the Reports Menu.
  2. To create a Member Group go to Member / Member Groups and then click the add button. Enter the name of the group, write a short description and save.
  3. The member group will then be available in the Member Group dropdown on the member record, AND as an addition when you create a new offer.
  4. Possible ideas for Member Groups would be members that train only with a certain trainer, members with children, Silver Sneakers, etc.
  5. An excellent use of Member Groups is to limit the number of membership types you have and then create Member Groups to break out segments of that Membership type.
When you set up your offers by Membership Type, you can then add a specific member group to the offer and sort by that Type and Group. For instance:
           A. Insurance Membership Type
                    i. Member Groups: Silver Sneakers, Silver and Fit, Blue Cross, etc.
